[Press release] Call for projects as part of the economic roundtable for the Togolese, African, and Afro-descendant diasporas

The Ministry of Foreign Affairs, Regional Integration and Togolese Abroad (MAEIRTE) would like to inform the public particularly the Togolese, African diaspora and Afro-descendants that an economic roundtable will be held alongside the Pan-African Congress in Lomé from 9 to 12 December 2025. The event will be held in a hybrid format, combining face-to-face and virtual participation.

The main objective of this business meeting is to promote investment from the diaspora in Togo’s development by presenting viable projects and micro-projects led by Togolese people and which can be carried out in Togo. The event will also facilitate networking and the formation of partnerships and collaborations between diaspora investors and representatives of the Togolese public and private sectors.

Specifically, the aim is to select projects to be carried out in Togo. These projects will be selected based on pre-defined criteria and presented by their promoters during plenary sessions or B2B meetings scheduled during the roundtable. The selected projects will then be registered on the dedicated website. This collection of projects will be regularly updated to enable potential investors to browse it and make contact with the promoters.

With this in mind, the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, Regional Integration and Togolese Abroad (MAEIRTE) invites Togolese, African and Afro-descendant diaspora communities to play an active role in this international event and seize the investment opportunities it offers. The roundtable, which is more than just a meeting; offers privileged framework for synergy and collective mobilisation, designed to transform the entrepreneurial and investment energies of the diaspora into powerful levers of economic growth and social development for Togo.

Applications to participate in the economic roundtable should be sent to fediasto@diasporatq.orq .

Project leaders wishing to participate in the meeting are invited to consult the project call launched for this purpose.
