A 12% reduction in prices at ASKY for the Togolese Diaspora

The Ministry of Foreign Affairs, Regional Integration and Togolese Abroad is multiplying initiatives for the Togolese diaspora. While the census of these Togolese expatriates is underway, the department headed by Prof Robert Dussey has just made an important announcement. This is the signing of a cooperation agreement with the airline ASKY.

According to the Head of Togolese diplomacy, the agreement in question sets up a system of preferential advantages for Togolese abroad.

“This is primarily a 12% reduction in fares for business and economy class travel tickets. The ASKY company has also undertaken to grant a waiver of the penalty for the first change of date made seventy-two (72) hours before the date of the trip », communicates Prof Robert Dussey.

As part of the Government’s actions in favor of Togolese abroad, the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, Regional Integration and Togolese Abroad is exploring all possibilities to respond to the concerns of the Togolese diaspora. Among these is the high cost of transport tickets to Togo.

Conditions to be met by the Togolese Diaspora

To benefit from the advantages provided for by this agreement, Togolese abroad must meet certain conditions. Indeed, it will be a question of: Having a Togolese passport or a valid national identity card; present a consular card; Pay for tickets at ASKY agencies.

« In this regard, the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, Regional Integration and Togolese Abroad invites the Togolese diaspora to make massive use of the services of the airline ASKY for their transport and that of their families to regional destinations. and international services served by the said company », urges the Head of Togolese diplomacy.

The Togolese Ministry of Foreign Affairs explains that the agreement with ASKY was prioritized because « the majority of the Togolese diaspora is in Africa and this company serves many African cities ».

The ministerial department explains that negotiations are underway with other companies.
