The Regional Securities Stock Exchange (BRVM), based in Abidjan, will organise a conference in Lomé, the 15th March, in cooperation with the Togolese branch of the Stock Exchange.
Each year the BRVM visits four WAEMU countries to encourage individuals and businesses to take an active interest in the equity market. The theme of the meeting is: ‘The role of regional financial market in the financing and development of the economies of WAEMU’.
The only Togolese company listed on the BRVM, it is the banking group Ecobank. Several participants are announced including Kossi Amenouve, general manager of the BRVM, Christian Adovelande, president of BOAD and Adji Otèth Ayassor, State Minister in charge of Economy, Finance and Development Planning.
The market capitalization of the BRVM is 7,000 billion CFA francs. It regroups eight countries of the WAEMU: Benin, Burkina Faso, Ivory Coast, Guinea Bissau, Mali, Niger, Senegal and Togo. A market of 100 million inhabitants
